When Friends Become Family in the REnet
August 6th, 2008 categories: Friends and Family, Random Thoughts
*UPDATE * 8/7/2008 - We reached the goal! The real estate community is truly a generous group. I am blessed to know so many of you and honored to call you friend. Indy Real Estate Talk will be absent tomorrow, in honor of Bill Lublin and in memory of his wife, Sheila. I’ll be back on Saturday!
One of the many benefits of belonging to the RE.net (real estate online network) are the many friends I have made throughout North America. We talk online, Twitter, comment and post about life, technology and real estate. This online community has become family. When your family hurts, so do you.
One of the special friends I have met over at Agent Genius, is Bill Lublin. Today, my friend is grieving the loss of his wife Sheila, his love, his friend, his soulmate of 34 years. I have been married to the love of my life for 29 years and can not imagine the pain and grief my friend must be enduring right now. Life never prepares us for such agony.
If words or friendship could take away his pain – it would be done. These things are never that easy. Losing a loved one is life’s greatest pain.
As a community, we are supporting Bill by making donations to cover the cost of supplying food for his family over the next two weeks. All donations are appreciated, as well as your comments for Bill. If you would like to leave a comment for Bill, you can do so here. All extra funds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
God bless you Bill, with peace, love, friends, comfort and strength.

Paula - Well written, well expressed.
“If words or friendship could take away his pain – it would be done”
Our thoughts are with the Lublin family.
Paula - what a beautiful post - I cried when I heard - like you I’ve been married to my best friend for 22 years and can’t even imagine what he’s going through. Our thoughts and prayers are with Bill at this time.
Paula, we are so lucky to have such a huge online family. The Lublin family is hurting and I know that Bill finds comfort in the many kind words said online. Sheila was a little firecracker and she will be so dearly missed.
